The O.C. Alright Vid by Moonlight Spike (wmv). Ryan-centric and about family and hope and love and Benjamin McKenzie's facial expressions. Cracking source, and almost unbearable sweetness. I watch it compulsively.

Queer As Folk (US) Brian & Justin Mix Vid by Sisabet. (wmv) Oh. My. God. There are no words for how much I enjoyed this vid. I've only ever seen QAF UK, which is brilliant, but now I'm in mourning. Brian/Justin with fast, funky music and a storyline that I read as 'Justin gets hurt and Brian looks back at their relationship'. Brian goes to Justin's prom? I have to watch this show. A sad and joyous vid.

Queer As Folk (US) 66 Vid by Sisabet & Dawn. (wmv) An exploration of the tortured relationship between Brian and Justin and a big, gay extravaganza. Boyporn with excellent source and a wonderful lack of talky face.

Cowboy Bebop Life is But a Dream Vid by ErMaC Studios (Justin Emerson). (DivX) Went looking for Anime vids because someone said they were pretty and boy, they weren't wrong. I had no clue to start with about the characters or the anime plot but by the end of this vid, I did, and I think that's mighty impressive. Powerful and romantic and sad and defiant. Large file, but top quality picture and technical wizardry. Contains huge spoilers for the anime, and the creator's website provides a summary of the vid if you're okay with the spoilage.

X-Yocho Lord's Prayer Vid by ErMaC Studios (Justin Emerson). (DivX) I didn't get a clear idea of plot, but I was awestruck by the visuals. And now I really, really want to watch the anime. An extremely pretty and dramatic vid. Large file again, but you get a crystal clear picture.

Yuugen Kaisha (Phantom Quest Corps) Ghostbusters Vid by ErMaC Studios (Justin Emerson). (DivX) A pastiche of the Ghostbusters movie using similar (but more futuristic) anime source and the Ghostbusters theme tune and movie soundbites. A lot of fun.

Rurouni Kenshin - Tsuioku hen Tsugaru Vid by ErMaC Studios (Justin Emerson). (DivX) Extemely flashy editing (also, uh, flashy, beware epileptics) and drop-dead gorgeous visuals. By turns romantic and violent, each phase underscored by the pacing and the music. A great sense of story and the ending is just beautiful.

Multi-Fandom If You Were In My Movie Vid by Jackie. (mpeg) Really hard to describe since there's no fandom and no real overarching theme. I've definitely never seen anything like this before. The girls from Daria put together a movie based on clips from TV and film to the music of the Suzanne Vega song about what sort of character she'd make you if 'you were in my movie' complete with commentary from various characters and yeah. Something you just have to watch. Nifty use of special effects and also a fun game of spot the movie. I can't give the URL since it's password protected, but ask Carol (link above) since it's her site n all.

Star Wars Teenage Dirtbag Vid by Crazy Grrl. (realplayer) Well, it made me laugh. Sweetly wrong Luke and Leia vid, in which Luke lusts after Leia and she mostly ignores him. Mostly A New Hope (first film), I think.

Due South The Wonder Of Birds Vid by Laura Shapiro & Morgan Dawn. (wmv & quicktime) I can't believe I haven't recced this one before. A beautiful, beautiful Fraser and Ray K vid which just makes me smile and smile and smile. All about partners. Plenty of wit and due South style freedom and goofiness. A lovethisshowsomuch experience. Movingly bookended, too. I'm afraid I can't give the direct URL for the vid, since it's password protected, but the link above gives Laura's addy, so ask her very nicely. It's worth it.

Witchblade Somewhere Over The Rainbow Vid by Wildswan (various players) At 43.5mb, this is a hefty vid, but you get good source for your money. A detailed and meditative look at Ian's relationship with Irons using a difficult and slow song. I haven't seen many episodes of Witchblade, but I definitely get the impression that Ian has issues.

Andromeda Invincible Vid by Koba-TV. (quicktime) Rommie in all her humanoid manifestations. She's a warship and a warship's gotta do what a warship's gotta do.

Andromeda Be Prepared Vid by Koba-TV. (quicktime) A light-hearted and funny Dylan boy scout vid, which does clever things with a typically twisted Tom Lehrer song.

Andromeda Weapon of Choice Vid by Koba-TV. (quicktime) This vid may have fab technical characteristics, nifty pacing and a fun choice of song but I'm afraid I didn't get much beyond the Anasazi. Mmmm, Tyr. Tyr in all his glory.

Smallville Tainted Love Vid by Kaliroi. (wmv) Uses Marilyn Manson's grungier version of the song and is there a more perfect Lex/Lionel lyric? A dark, dark, dark and powerful vid with fantastic choreography that works what little is available of season one Lex and Lionel into a thriller. Spare, tight and gripping.

Smallville You're The One Vid by Soappocrates. (wmv) A desperately sweet Clark POV CLex vid (I might be biased because I love this Tracy Chapman song). Lex has a bad side but Clark doesn't care.

Smallville Hungry Eyes Vid by Soappocrates. (wmv) Ah, the Dirty Dancing nostalgia. And now I'm imagining Lex and Clark doing the horizontal mambo. This couldn't be anything other than sweet. And it's true, Lex does have hungry eyes, dammit, and Clark doesn't do too badly in that department either. Mmm, the way they look at each other...

Smallville Huzzah! Vid by Soappocrates. (wmv) No redeeming value to this at all. Clark, Pete, Lex and Jonathon get naked to David Rose's 'The Stripper'. Huzzah!

Smallville SmallWars Vid by Soappocrates. (wmv) I haven't laughed this hard in a while. An insanely great combo of Smallville and StarWars' plot, music, sound effects and dialogue which does uncanny things with lip syncing. Features Pete as Lando, a pirate begging for screen time and Lionel as the best Vader ever.

Smallville I Want Your Sex Vid by Eisa. (quicktime) A funny collection of what must be every GAYLE in season one, spliced with naughtiness from Queer As Folk. And if you don't know what the GAYLEs are, get ye to TWoP and read the Smallville reviews.

The Sentinel Black Cat Vid by Seah & Margie. (quicktime & rm) Amusing Jim-centric vid with some Jim/Blair shippiness. Laid back and swingin', Jim and his relationship with, uh, black cats. It's a metaphor, dontya know.

Invisible Man Kryptonite Vid by Seah & Margie. (quicktime & rm) A clever and powerful Bobby and Fawkes relationship vid with clearly switching POVs. Showed me parallels between the characters that I hadn't considered. Plus spanking good source.

Farscape Wanted Vid by Myrtle & Eunice. (quicktime) Close to 19mb unzipped, but for this you get crystal source, stunning colours and epic, epic images. If you ever need reminding of why this show was so great.... This vid copes wonderfully with occasionally slow music, (Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi) and watch especially for the 'million faces' segment. What it's like to live on the run. Ah, Farscape.

Farscape The Muppet Show Vid by Koba-TV. (quicktime) The funniest Farscape vid I've ever seen, with a fantastic opening and an even better ending. A celebration of the critters of Farscape.

Farscape Masochism Tango Vid by Koba-TV. (quicktime) Another comedy vid from Ann Brill White, this one a Aeryn/John shippy piece about the passion, and the pain. They really do beat each other up a lot. I think this one would be funny even if you'd never seen the show.

Farscape Dante's Prayer Vid by Koba-TV. (quicktime) An intense and delicate Zhaan vid. It made me cry. And that's all I can say, really.

Farscape Family Vid by Todd Allen. (rm) For whatever reason, this vid is set within an odd curvy frame which was incredibly annoying at first but kinda grew on me. A very pretty (third season?) vid featuring the entire crew at the best of times and the worst of times.

Harry Potter Magic Dance Vid by Marauder Productions. (quicktime) A fun vid that makes perfect use of the David Bowie song and some nifty cutting. Mostly Philosopher's Stone.

Harry Potter The Seeker Vid by Marauder Productions. (quicktime) A Harry-centric video with a song I love by The Who. This is a Philosopher's Stone vid that does a lot with the little source available.

Sorority Boys Pretty Baby Vid by Debchan. (rm) Michael Rosenbaum in a skirt. Michael Rosenbaum in another skirt. Oh, look, he's in a skirt again. There are no words for how much I love this movie.

Firefly Money For Nothing Vid by Debchan and Laura Shapiro. (wmv & rm) Yes, the Dire Straits song. I didn't think it would work. I was very, very wrong. Funny Jayne POV, wonderful transitions and source you could eat off. Even the credits are fantastic.

Fastlane Baby Vid by Debchan. (wmv & rm) A fast, flashy and colourful music video. Just like the show. Spanking good source and nummy men touching more than they need to. Aieeeee.

Farscape I Saved The World Today Vid by Birgit. A lovely song by the Eurythmics and a vid which focuses on Aeryn, and what Aeryn has suffered.

Farscape Feelin' Love Vid by Birgit. I found that only the zipped RealMedia version would work, because not only Realplayer but apparently DiVX hate me. Apart from that... Hubba hubba. Crystal clear source, nifty use of special effects and damn sexy. Aeryn and Crichton, with a little help from Paula Cole, are getting down, and down, and down.

Smallville Different Vid by Bonibaru. 'The dark and the wild and the different'. A CLex vid and a song that I love. The lyrics might seem unpromising, but Bonibaru matches them perfectly and comes to a conclusion that says something unexpected. And oh, the way Michael Rosenbaum swallows. One of my favourite vids.

Highlander I'm Not A Virgin Any More Vid by Luminosity. Mac is a slut. A hit parade of his dalliances with women and men as he tells Methos how it is. Why did nobody tell me Nick Lea was in Highlander? Upbeat and funny.

Highlander Passions Vid by Shalott. An unusual companion piece to a fanfic story by the Krell, this vid left me gasping. Extremely clever use of clips and effects to create a whole new story.

Highlander Ability To Swing Vid by Luminosity. Mac is very good with a sword, a martial artiste, and he dances. He's also damn pretty.

Highlander Just Like You Vid by Luminosity. Another Luminosity vid, fast paced and with the usual crisp, quick and, in this one, funny cuts. Another Mac/Methos vid. Two guys I never get sick of. Worth watching even if, like me, you never saw the show just as proof of why you should have watched it.

Highlander Blew 'Em Away Vid by Shalott. A witty, well-timed video based on a road rage anthem that manages to make the mayhem on Highlander funny.

Highlander Touched Vid by Luminosity. Mac and Methos, Methos and Mac set to 'Touched' by VAST. Methos, with the eyes. Swords are really very phallic things.

Highlander Cheapshots 2: Highlander Vid by One Sick Fuck Productions. (Luminosity & Suze) In the same vein as Fanfic Smackdown (below), this vid uses cheesy music and dodgy clips and yours truly wets herself laughing.

Highlander A Hero's Tale Vid by One Sick Fuck Productions. Luminosity & Suze hit it again with the Reduced Shakespeare version of the Four Horsemen story set to cartoon music. A hilarious opening, zany special effects and brilliantly timed. Looney Tunes.

Multi-Fandom Cheapshots 1: Fanfic Smackdown Vid by One Sick Fuck Productions. (Luminosity & Suze) A hysterically clever multi-fandom and multi-song vid mocking both fanfic and vid clichés.

Once A Thief Love's Funny That Way Vid by Yvi. The vid is listed in the left hand column of the page. Poor source quality and show I never saw (I weep) but what the hell, it's Nick Lea and I finally get to see the famous chandelier scene.

Once A Thief Gummi Bears Vid by Yvi. The vid is listed in the left hand column of the page. I guess I'm just a sucker for cartoon theme tunes, but this works a little too well. A funny, warped and action-packed vid.

Young Americans I Try Vid by Louloucn. (Site is MIA) Ah, Young Americans, a short-lived show notable only for its outrageous slashiness and the drop-dead gorgeous prettitude of Ian Somerhalder (Hamilton). And this vid, which looks at the relationship between Hamilton and Jake, simultaneously the most and least slashy of the series.

Star Wars Kid Fears Vid by Shalott. A moving Star Wars vid with a storyline something like "Amidala's nightmare". A look at the trials and tribulations of Han, Leia and Darth Vadar.

Due South Lord I Have Made You A Place In My Heart Vid by Laura Shapiro. Poor, poor Fraser. People keep leaving him and betraying him. A popular fic storyline given a hopeful ending. I'm afraid I can't give the direct URL for the vid, since it's password protected, but the link above gives Laura's addy, so ask her very nicely.

Harry Potter Lose Yourself Vid by Silvia Kundera. Keeps to the beat using a difficult song (the Eminem theme tune from '8 Mile'). Though the source is poor, this is an intense look at Harry and his aspirations. Includes Chamber of Secrets material.

Harry Potter Fascination and Fear Vid by Silvia Kundera. It ends quite abruptly but this is a Harry/Draco vid that does a lot with what little is available and plays with the fascination and fear of the Potterverse. Includes Chamber of Secrets material.

Harry Potter Prisoner Of Society Vid by Silvia Kundera. I think this is the best of Silvia's Harry Potter vids. Harry, Hermione and Ron don't get on well with authority. Witty and action packed. Includes Chamber of Secrets material.
