He’s powerful. Not the heaviest player in town, but his discipline and skill make up for that. He’s taken an oath of neutrality, which Balthazar finds incredibly amusing. He runs a…conveniently situated establishment, so for the moment, Balthazar will refrain from doing anything. It’s always nice to have something tucked away for a rainy day.
There aren’t many that would chance coming here, but demon’s ashes are demon’s ashes, and Midnite will be needing them soon. He’s a mortal, despite all his magics, and cannot depend on anyone but himself for survival. Nowadays, he doesn’t mind that. It ensures that he keeps a sense of proportion, which some longer-lived fellows never seem to learn. No matter. A bar never lacks for patrons; he won’t be missing this one after a few weeks.
